Midfielder Malik Akowuah has debunked reports that he has requested a transfer from Accra Hearts of Oak in order to pave a way for a sensational return to Medeama SC.

Reports in the media yesterday had claimed Akowuah was uhappy at the club after clashing with Scottish manager Frank Elliot Nuttal.

However in an Exclusive interview with Ghanaguardian.com, the 27 year old rubbished all these claims, insisting he has committed his long-term future to the Accra-based club and wants to continue his development as a footballer under the stewardship of Coach Nutall.

Hearts Chief Alhaji Akanbi also confirmed to Ghanaguardian.com that the reports making waves were unfounded and had no truths to it. He urged sports journalists to be circumspect in their reportage and not to rush in their publications.

The talented midfielder joined the Phobians after a protracted dispute from Medeama in 2016.
