Medeama SC captain Malik Akowuah has made an emphatic statement on his future at the Tarkwa-based club after being previously linked to Congolese giants TP Mazembe.

The iconic midfielder in an interview with ASHF FM’s “Super Sports” crew revealed that he will not stay at Medeama SC in the next season.

He admitted to receiving numerous offers across board but is insistent on settling on the best option.

“The offers are flowing in but care has to be taken in order to make the right choice. Talks are ongoing for a move away from Medeama and hopefully by Monday a consensus will be reached.”

The sought after midfield enigma stated in confidence that he will not be with “the Mauves and Yellows next  season.

“I can confidently state that I will not be at Medeama next season. My contract with Medeama expired in the middle of the league so I had to extend the contract in order to see out the league with the club because they have been of immense help to me.” He added.

He however refused to give any clues on his next destination insisting he can only confirm that after Monday.

It is highly possible the player will be making a move away from the Ghana league as Medeama have in the past rated the player above the purchasing power of any Ghanaian club.
