NEW DELHI: Social networking giant Facebook has been working on revamping its Messenger app. The company has been rolling out new features and user interface to the app. As promised the company has now started rolling out dark mode for its users. However, users need to do a ‘trick’ in order to activate the feature. The dark mode is enabled on the Messenger app with the help of a moon emoji.
As reported by Android Police, users need to send someone or themselves a crescent moon emoji. Once done a shower of moons will appear in their chat window. Then they will get a prompt in order to activate the mode in settings. Users then have to go to their profile page in the app and turn the dark mode on.
The report suggest that the dark mode has been rolled out for everyone including Android and iOS users.
Last month, Facebook introduced another much-awaited feature on its Messenger app. The company brought the unsend and recall feature to the app. The same feature was introduced by the company last year in WhatsApp.
Same as WhatsApp, the unsend feature of Facebook Messenger enable users to delete any message which they may have sent accidentally. In order to recall a message sent on Facebook Messenger, users have the time limit of 10 minutes.

To use the unsend feature on Messenger users need to follow some simple steps:

- Users need to tap on the message which they wish to delete.

- Once selected, users will get two options

- One: 'Remove for everyone'

- Two, 'Remove for You'

- In case the user selects 'Remove for everyone', then the message will be replaced by text which says message has been removed by you.
