The Facebook Messenger users will now be able to unsend any message that they have sent to a contact by mistake. The company has also said that the users will just get the window of 10 minutes to recall any sent message. Here's how the new feature works 1. First users need to tap on the message which they wish to delete.
2. After that two options will appear on their screen

3. One option will be Remove for everyone and the other will be Remove for You

4. In case the user select Remove for everyone, then the message will be replaced by text which says message has been removed by you.

The debate around the unsend feature in Facebook Messenger started last year in April when news came that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was deleting private messages after sending them. When asked about the same, Facebook confirmed that Zuckerberg's messages expired over time. After the revelation, the Facebook users demanded the company to introduce a same feature for its users.

It was then Facebook announced that will create an unsend feature for all its users in the coming months. This new unsend feature of Facebook Messenger is available for both iOS and Android users starting today.

Recently, it was reported that Facebook is planning to merge Instagram and WhatsApp with Facebook Messenger. The new was later confirmed by the company CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Talking about the plan, Zuckerberg explained that he wants millions of users across the three platforms to move to a more secure and encrypted messaging service.
