Tamale-based rapper, Mujahid Ahmed Bello, known in showbiz as Fancy Gadam, has cancelled his music concert scheduled for Saturday June 30 2018, after eight fans died in an accident.

The ‘Total Cheat’ hit singer alongside Patoranking from Nigeria was expected to perform at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

Gadam in reaction to the gory accident posted on his Facebook page that he was with heavy heart so cannot stage the concert.

“My heart is heavy right now , words can’t describe how I feel. I am sorry to announce to you that my show with Patoranking scheduled to come of tomorrow has been postponed indifinately… I can’t lose my fans and still have the heart to stage a show.”

Explaining how the horrid accident occurred, an eye witness disclosed that the car tyre of one of the vans, occupied by fans Gadam who were on their way to the Tamale Airport to welcome Patoraking, burst causing the driver to lose control of the steering wheel and the van rammed into a moving truck ahead.

Several of the motor riders in the convoy which included Zylofon Cash cars also crashed the van.

There were hundreds of riders on motor bicycles with others in cars en route to the airport.

Reacting to the accident which has reportedly claimed at least eight lives, the MCE of Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, Musah Superior has banned outdoor musical concerts in the area till further notice.
‘He is talented, but his talent is a waste to the people of Tamale. He;s an irresponsible young man…” In a very angry tone, Musah Superior said of Fancy Gadam.
