FC Samartex head coach Nurudeen Amadu has expressed his hope that defender Isaac Afful will secure a contract in Europe following his recent call-up to the Black Stars for Ghana’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sudan.

Ghana will take on Sudan on Thursday, October 10, at the Accra Sports Stadium as part of the ongoing AFCON qualifiers.

Afful, 25, is one of two Ghana Premier League players selected by Black Stars coach Otto Addo for the upcoming matches.

Amadu, proud of his player’s achievement, shared his excitement over Afful’s inclusion in the national team and praised the defender's hard work and consistency.

“It shows we’ve been doing something right. His dedication and work ethic have been exceptional, and we’re all wishing him the best,” Amadu said in an interview with Samartex Media.

The coach also expressed his desire to see Afful move to Europe, saying, “From here, we hope he can secure a contract in Europe because he deserves to be there.

We are all behind him and praying for his success.”

Afful’s call-up to the Black Stars is a significant milestone in his career, and his impressive form could open doors for international opportunities.
