FC Samartex 1996 asserted their dominance in the Ghana Premier League with a commanding victory over Aduana Stars on Monday, extending their lead at the summit to a formidable five points.

The Sameraboi lads entered the match determined to maintain their position at the top of the table after a strong showing in the first round of the season.

They wasted no time in asserting their authority, securing a crucial win at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park.

Former Skyy FC forward Baba Hamadu Musa opened the scoring in the 8th minute, capitalizing on a well-taken free kick by Adu Siaw to notch his seventh goal of the campaign.

Emmanuel Keyekeh added to the lead with a stunning strike in the 25th minute, receiving a pass from Baba Musa on the edge of the box and unleashing an unstoppable shot past the goalkeeper.

Despite Sampson Cobbinah pulling one back for Aduana Stars in the 75th minute, FC Samartex maintained their composure and held on for the win at Dormaa.

The victory sees FC Samartex firmly positioned at the top of the Premier League standings with 35 points, boasting a five-point lead over closest rivals Aduana FC and Nsoatreman FC, who currently occupy the 2nd and 3rd spots respectively on the table.
