There is a new team that will join the Ghanaian top flight next season as FC Samartex have qualified for the Ghana Premier League next season from Zone Two of the Division One League after 27 matches.

With three matches to spare, the Samreboi based side secured their place after a goalless drawn game against Swedru All Blacks on Sunday afternoon.

Their case was made easy after contenders Ebusua Dwarfs lost to Nzema Kotoko at Anyinase to hand Samartex the only ticket in Zone Two.

After 26 years in the first Division, the Western Region based side have through the largesse of giant timber firm Samartex secured qualification.

With three matches to end the campaign Samartex have 61 points as they lead Zone Two whiles second placed Ebusua Dwarfs are second on 51 points after defeat to Nzema Kotoko.

Coach Henry Wellington, his players and the management team led by Edmund Ackah have done a yeoman's job  after outsmarting  the likes of Ebusua Dwarfs, New Edubiase to gain promotion from Zone Two.
