Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan has reacted to his latest call-up to Ghana squad for the final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Kenya in Accra.

The shot-stopper makes a return to the side after being left out of previous games.

The Black Stars will host the Harambee Stars on March 23 with the two sides already qualified for the continental showpiece in Egypt.

”It’s a great feeling whenever you are invited to the senior national team. As a player, it is a dream to represent my country. I have been doing my best at Kotoko which I believe caught the attention of the technical team of the Black Stars” said Annan.

”I’m honoured to be among the players called up and I’m hoping to play my part towards the success of the team. I’m optimistic that if I remain consistent, I can get a shot into the final squad for the Total Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt in June“

Annan who has been in top form for Asante Kotoko will have to battle it out for the first choice with Maritzburg United goalkeeper Richard Ofori who has been the safest pair of hands for the Black Stars for some time now.

The Black Stars are second on the Group F table with six points, one point behind leaders Kenya. A win at home will see them lead the table.
