Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan has charged his colleagues to their heads up in their "next game" after losing 1-0 to Al Hilal in their  opening group match of the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday.

He bemoaned the result of the game  and says the Porcupine must begin picking up points.

The Porcupine Warriors had a false start in the competition after Waleed Bakhiek Hamid handed the initiative to the Sudanese giants on the stroke of half time.

Annan, who was superb on the day for Charles Akunnor's men, wailed at the final result but charged his teammates to keep focus in their subsequent matches in the competition.

"Not the results we wanted but we keep pushing and already focused now on the next game!Lotz to play for and we got to start picking up points! Thanks For Your Support ???? #TeamKotoko #CAFCC #OneTeam" he tweeted.

A 40th minutes half strike from Waleed Bakhiek Hamid was enough for All Hilal to go on same point with Zambia's Zeco with 3 points each.

The Porcupine Warriors improved their performance in the second half by having more of the possession but failed to create scoring chances.

But  El Hilal held on to the start of their group stage contest with the narrow victory against the Ghanaian side, who are have just made a return to the stage after 11 years hiatus.

Kotoko will have a chance to get back to winning ways when they welcome Zambian giants ZESCO United to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on matchday two which is scheduled to come off on February 17.
