First Lady Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo has visited Star Times Corporation in Beijing, China, to witness the unveiling of a football kit, designed to be used by Ghanaian children in a sports exchange programme.

The visit of the First Lady to the Corporation was on the sidelines of the China-Africa Summit, underway in Beijing, China.

Children from Ghana, would for a month, participate in activities under the exchange programme, being sponsored, in part, by the Star Times Corporation and the Rebecca Foundation.

Mrs Akufo-Addo in a trip to China last year, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Rebecca Foundation, and Licang District Experimental School, in Qingdao, to develop the programme for Ghanaian school children and their Chinese counterparts, to kick start this year.

Touring Star Times Corporation, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo called for more of such collaborative efforts to help make a positive impact on the lives many beneficiaries.

On his part, Mr Pang XingXing, the Founder and Chairman of Star Times Corporation, who took the First Lady on the tour, said his company was looking forward to an effective collaboration with the Rebecca Foundation.

The Rebecca Foundation, set up by the First Lady, continues to express practical commitment to improving the welfare and well-being of women and children, especially, the vulnerable.

The First Lady has thus been impactful in identifying projects that complement and enhance the work of the Government.
