Kumasi Asante Kotoko haverevealed  that five persons including striker Kwame Poku and one official who purportedly tested positive for COVID-19 in Sudan have all tested negative after two tests were conducted at the Military Hospital in Sudan and another at the Kotoka International Airport upon their arrival in Ghana on Friday.

Kotoko were unable to play their second leg tie against Al Hilal Omdurman after test results in Sudan confirmed seven Kotoko players had tested positive for COVID-19 although the club vehemently protested the results were fake.

The second leg of the CAF Champions League game between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Al Hilal Omdurman was called off.

This follows disagreements between the two clubs about tests results of COVID-19 carried out in Sudan.

According to Kotoko tests results of one of their players got missing and they suspected foul play in the other results that was handed to them by officials of Al Hilal Omdurman.
