Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has called on members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) eyeing the party’s 2028 presidential ticket to prioritize the success of President-elect John Dramani Mahama’s second administration.

Speaking to journalists in Accra on Monday, December 9, Mr Ablakwa cautioned that the NDC risks losing future elections if the party fails to rally behind Mahama’s leadership.

“Everyone in the NDC must understand that if we do not support President Mahama to succeed, their ambitions for 2028, 2033, or even 2036 will be mere illusions. We must put personal aspirations aside and concentrate on ensuring the fulfillment of our manifesto promises” he stated.

Mr Ablakwa stressed the importance of teamwork and dedication to delivering on the mandate given by Ghanaians.

“Our priority should be to support President Mahama with integrity, competence, and hard work. We must break our backs to ensure the Mahama/Jane Opoku-Agyemang administration is a resounding success,” he said.

He urged party members to remain focused on addressing the needs and concerns of the Ghanaian people, as outlined during campaign engagements.

Mr. Ablakwa emphasized that personal ambitions should take a back seat for the greater good of the NDC and the country.
