Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffo has warned the team about complacency ahead of their second leg clash with Kano Pillars in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.

The Porcupine Warriors need to overturn 3-2 deficit after losing the first leg in Nigeria a fortnight ago.

Akuffo says the team must remain focused if they seek to boot out their opponents.

"Kotoko players should do away with complacency and be focused on the game against Kano Pillars because it won't be an easy game. I know the players are matured and ready for the game because they are all aware of the task ahead," he told Ash FM.

The Ghana Premier League giants will host Kano Pillars at the Baba Yara Stadium on August 25.
