Ghanaian winger Nana Opoku Ampomah has completed a move on deadline day to Belgum Jupiler Pro League side Royal Antwerp in the current transfer window.

The Ghanaian has endured a year to forget in Germany after joining then Bundesliga side Fortuna Dusseldorf in the 2019/2020 season.

Ampomah was on the periphery of the first team at Fortuna Dusseldorf after joining from Waasland Beveren partly due to injury concerns and poor form.

He has now signed for Royal Antwerp on an initial season long loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.

The player left Germany for Belgium on Monday after being accused in the German media of trying to leave the club through the back door.

He has been linked with a move to his former side Waasland Beveren but chose to join Royal Antwerp instead.

The winger knows the Belgium league a lot as he has in the past played for Waasland-Beveren and KV Mechelen
