Dutch born Ghanaian defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has tipped France to emerge as champions of the Euro 2020 tournament which begins on 11th June,2021.

He says Portugal and France have the strongest squad in the team who are heading for the tournament.

The Dutch International missed out on selection for the Dutch national team due to a Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury he sustained after joining Bayer Leverkusen in January.

According to the former Manchester United defender, France have an all round squad with Ngolo Kante and Paul Pogba, Mpabbe and others in their ranks.

“I think France has a strong team and Portugal as well and either might end up winning the cup,” he told Ohene Brenya on Happy FM.

Fosu-Mensah says there are also other strong teams like England, Spain and Netherlands who can also challenge for the Euro title.

The defender is currently in Ghana for the first time in 16 years for holidays and will be hoping to be fit in time for pre-season with Bayer Leverkusen.
