Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has affirmed that the club will keep hold of their prized asset Frank Mbella Etouga from the clutches of those circling.

The Cameroonian poacher has been in fine form for Kumasi Asante Kotoko and currently leads the goal scorers chart with 21 goals in the Ghana Premier League.

He has been the subject of interest from several clubs from Africa and outside the country with the reds keen to keep him.

Speaking in an interview with Akoma FM, the board chairman disclosed that the Cameroonian striker will stay at the club now that they will be playing in the CAF Champions League.

He adds that the club cannot participate in the African interclub competition without their potent goal scorer and will do all they can to keep him at the club.

“Mbella will stay at Kotoko as we participate in Africa, we can't go without him “We rather need more quality additions, so how can we sell our best player? We can't let him go, we will do all we can to keep him.”

He joined Kotoko at the start of the 2021/2022 season from Cameroonian side Fortuna du Mfou and has been a revelation.
