Freda Ayisi, the midfielder for Charlton Athletic women's team based in England, expressed her joy after her debut for Ghana in the Olympic Games qualifier against Zambia.

The match saw the Black Queens narrowly defeated by the Copper Queens.

Starting the game, Ayisi showcased her skills for the Black Queens before being substituted in the second half for Sherifatu Sumaila.

Despite the loss, Ayisi took to Instagram to express her excitement about representing Ghana.

"Debut Ghana. The support was amazing," she shared on her Instagram post.

Travelling with the team to Ndola, Ayisi remained hopeful of turning the tide and securing qualification for the Olympic Games.

Ghana's Black Queens are striving for their inaugural appearance in women's football at the Olympics.

An aggregate victory against Zambia would mark Ghana's return to Olympic football, with the Black Meteors being the last team to compete in the multi-sport event back in 2004.

In addition to the Olympic Games qualification, the Black Queens have their sights set on the Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco later this year, highlighting their ambitions on the continental stage.
