The Ghana Education Service has announced that there is a change in the reopening date for the Second year Senior High School students placed on the Gold Track.

The GES has rescheduled the date to November 12, 2019 instead of the initial October 15, 2019.

A statement signed by the GES Head of Public Relations Unit, Casandra Twum Ampofo has said, “This means that form 2 Gold students are to report for the 1st semester of the 2019/2020 academic year on 12th November 2019 for academic work to begin,”

The decision, the GES explained, was arrived at during a joint meeting between the Management of GES and Conference of Heads of Assisted Senior High Schools CCHASS) Executives.

“It is anticipated that the new date would enable parents and students, teachers and education workers to prepare adequately for the re-opening of the new academic year,” the GES claimed.

In “apologizing” for the inconvenience created by the postponement, the statement asked staff, students and the general public to take note of the new development.
