Former England and Manchester United defender Gary Neville has offered advice to Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus, urging him to exhibit greater maturity and improve his decision-making during matches.

Neville's remarks came in response to Kudus' notable performance in West Ham's 4-2 victory over Brentford, where he contributed an assist and displayed promising form.

Speaking on his podcast, Neville commended Kudus for his potential but stressed the importance of consistency in decision-making, particularly in shooting and passing situations.

While acknowledging Kudus' natural talent for creating chances, Neville highlighted instances where the midfielder took unnecessary risks, potentially leading to missed opportunities for his team.

"Kudus has got something special, but he needs to be more mature in his final choices," Neville remarked.

"Sometimes wingers can be unpredictable, but they need to be unpredictable not just to the opposition but also to their own teammates. In the first half, he took one or two wild shots instead of making a final pass."

Despite offering constructive criticism, Neville noted Kudus' improvement in the second half, particularly evident in his assist for Jarrod Bowen's goal.

Neville expressed confidence that with enhanced precision and maturity, Kudus has the potential to become an exceptional player.

In the match against Brentford, Kudus played for 89 minutes, provided an assist, and attempted five shots, albeit off target.

With six goals and two assists in the Premier League and a total of 10 goals across all competitions, Kudus continues to showcase his talent for West Ham.
