Coach George Lamptey has finally resigned from his post as head trainer of Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals.

The Coach quit his job after almost a decade with the Dansoman-based Club.

Lamptey who was reported to have been reinstated by the Club after management dissolved the technical team following the team’s poor performance in the Ghana Premier League last season is reported to have relinquished his position after the Club refused to re-appoint his assistant Felix Aboakye.

“I have decided to resign, I want to stay out of the Premier League for some time, I will still be involved in Coaching but maybe a division one side or a second division side,” he spoke to Starr FM.

Liberty Professionals are expected to appoint a new Coach before the new season begins in December.
