The Ghanaian international who joined English top flight club Chelsea last season has described football in his previous destination (Germany) as better than English football.

Speaking to German newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten, the young left back noted that the EPL was more focused on power as compared to 'better' football in Germany.

"A lot of players in England are very powerful, whereas in Germany you see some better football," the 22-year-old stated.

According to the former Augsburg star, most English sides are more content with playing kick and rush football.

"A lot of Premier League teams are still very much playing kick and rush football." he stated.

The promising left back mentioned Antonio Conte's intensive defensive approach as the reason he opted for a loan move away from the English giants saying he was advised by the Italian tactitian to make  the move.

He emphasized his satisfaction on reuniting with former Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl at Schalke 04.

"I already know Markus Weinzierl from my time at Augsburg and we worked together very well there. He always gave me a lot of confidence. That is one of the reasons why I think Schalke were the best option for me."
