The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed the Headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School, Mr. Joshua Vidzro, to step aside from his duties with immediate effect.

The directive, issued on Saturday, December 6, 2025, follows allegations linking the headmaster to sexual misconduct involving some female students. The GES said the interdiction is intended to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation and prevent any potential interference.

Mr. Vidzro has been instructed to hand over all official duties, records, and school property in his possession to the Ketu North Municipal Director of Education. He is required to vacate the school premises on Monday, December 8, 2025, after completing the handover process.

While interdicted, he must remain available to assist investigators and is barred from any direct or indirect contact with the students involved or with potential witnesses.

“For the avoidance of doubt, this directive does not constitute a determination or presumption of guilt on your part, but is an administrative measure issued in furtherance of due process and institutional accountability.”

The Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North will oversee the administration and management of Dzodze-Penyi SHS until further notice.
