The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in partnership with FIFA, is set to host the FIFA Women’s Football Campaign in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, specifically for girls under the age of 12.
This initiative is designed to encourage young girls to participate in football at the grassroots level, supporting the GFA Women's Football Strategy and promoting the sport among young female athletes.
The campaign will involve primary schools from the Ashanti Region, divided into four municipalities: Suame, Kwadaso, Asokore Mampong, and Kumasi Metro.
The event will take place at Opoku Ware School from November 12 to November 13, 2024.
This program aligns with the GFA’s commitment to developing grassroots football nationwide.
By providing a supportive environment, the initiative aims to help young girls build their skills, cultivate ambition, play in small-sided games, make independent decisions, and enjoy the game without judgment.
