The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Congress has officially appointed five new members to its Ethics Committee for a four-year term, effective August 27, 2024.

The committee will be led by Dr. Isaac Annan, Esq., who takes on the role of Chairperson, with Linda Ofori-Kwafo, Esq. as the Vice-Chairperson.

The other appointed members are Dr. Charles Takyi, Wilfred Neneh Addico, and Ayishatu Farida Iddriss.

This decision was unanimously approved by the GFA Congress in line with Article 57 of the GFA Statutes, which governs the structure and composition of the Ethics Committee.

According to these statutes, the committee must consist of five members, including experts in criminal law and investigative work.

The Executive Council, adhering to the guidelines set out in Articles 32(2)(r), 55(5), and 57(1) of the Statutes, proposed these appointments, which were subsequently endorsed by the Congress.

The newly appointed members of the Ethics Committee will serve their term until August 26, 2028, focusing on maintaining ethical standards and integrity within Ghanaian football.
