Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Berekum Chelsea, Nana Oduro Sarfo who also doubles as an Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association has gone berserk when questioned about the poor state of the Berekum Golden City Park.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko played against Berekum Chelsea on a withered Berekum Pitch which was very painful watching on TV as the match was live on StarTimes.

Many consumers of the Ghana Premier League(GPL) complained on social media why the Club Licensing Board allowed a poor pitch like Berekum to be used as a Premier League venue.

In an interview with Accra based Angel FM, CEO of Berekum Chelsea tacitly said he owes no one an explanation not even consumers and fans of the GPL why such a pitch was used as he funded his own match.

According to him, the footballers who played on the pitch are the same ones who feature on grass-less pitches during Monday Special games.

He added he has no means to make Berekum Golden City Park green and as such they will always play on such poor pitch.

"The footballers who played on the pitch are they not the same payers who play on sakora pitches. Are they not playing on Monday Special Sakora pitches

I don't have the means to make the Berekum City park's grass green. Besides the GPL players play on "sakora pitch". Berekum Chelsea will always play on that pitch. That is the turf available to Berekum Chelsea"

When it was put to him that fans were complaining he burst into rage and rained expletives on anyone complaining about the pitch.

"To hell with those complaining about the nature of pitch at Brekum Golden city Park. Besides players usually play Sakora pitch. No one has given us money so the complains must stop. We will continue to play on that pitch"

When he was reminded of his position as an EXCO member of the GFA he responded and so what and called the bluff of the media to send him to the cleaners if they care.

"I am an Ex-Co member and so what?

"You can say whatever you want to say, I don't care.I know you people will bash me but for how long? I didn't beg you to call me. I am watching a Nigerian movie now, that's precious to me.

I have finished playing the game, if you have qualms go and collect the points."

He questioned the host of the show Saddick 'Obama' Adams who has commissioned him to enquire why the played on such a poor pitch and asked whether football is dead since they played on a poor pitch.

" Nobody has tasked you to enquire why we played football on that pitch. If pictures are going around, what hasn't happened before.

Is football dead, why don't you face the reality. I have finished playing the game, go and collect the points."

"I did not take anybody's money before playing the game. I invested in my own game. That's it. Forget it!!!

We have played the game on the pitch, if you're unhappy we don't care. We shall continue to play on the pitch," he added.
