The Ghana Football Association (GFA) stood in solidarity with numerous mourners and former footballers as they gathered on Saturday to bid farewell to the late Joe Debrah, a notable figure in the history of Asante Kotoko and Ghanaian football.

Representing the GFA at the funeral, Executive Council Members Nana Sarfo Oduro, Samuel Aboabire, and Eugene Nobel Noel paid their respects at the solemn ceremony, which took place at the forecourt of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Joe Debrah, who dedicated eight years of his career to Asante Kotoko, passed away in October last year following a brief illness.

Renowned for his remarkable feat of scoring against Accra Hearts of Oak in every match during his tenure at Asante Kotoko, Debrah left an indelible mark on the football landscape.

He was 52 years old.
