The Ghana Football Association in conjunction with football's world governing body, FIFA has started a 4-day Referee’s Integrity Seminar at the Pentecost Convention Center in Kasoa.

Refereeing in Ghana has come under intense scrutiny following the Anas expose brought to bare the level of corruption in the game.

Over 70 referees were caught on tape receiving bribes or facilitating corruption, living the integrity of Ghanaian referees were heavily dented.

Ahead of the start of the forthcoming domestic season, the GFA in their quest to restore the dented image of Ghanaian match officials are holding an integrity seminar to instil integrity in the officials and restore public confidence in their job.

311 Referees from the various regions who will officiate in the Premier, Division One and Women’s Elite League in the coming season are participating in the 4-day Referees Integrity Seminar.

FIFA/CAF Instructor Lim Kee Chong will lead a team of instructors who will take the referees through series of topics ahead of the upcoming football season.
