Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, recently convened a constructive meeting with the newly appointed Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Mr. Dodzie Numekevor.

The meeting, held at the headquarters of the NSA situated at the Accra Sports Stadium, focused on various areas of mutual interest between the two organizations.

Key topics discussed during the meeting included cooperation, infrastructure development, revenue generation strategies, the establishment of new age group national teams, and the overall progress of both entities.

Mr. Numekevor, in his new role, expressed his eagerness to foster a collaborative relationship with the GFA.

He conveyed his commitment to working closely with the Association and emphasized the importance of a positive and productive partnership.

President Okraku, in response, commended Mr. Numekevor for his proactive approach in building rapport with the GFA.

He expressed appreciation for the warm reception and affirmed the GFA's readiness to engage with the NSA in an open and respectful manner.

A significant aspect highlighted by President Okraku was the necessity for effective communication between the two organizations.

Recognizing past challenges stemming from communication gaps, he underscored the importance of seamless information exchange for improved collaboration.

Mr. Numekevor echoed this sentiment, assuring President Okraku of his commitment to facilitating clear and efficient communication between the NSA and the GFA.

He requested the GFA to provide the Authority with a consolidated calendar of activities for the entire year, including matches and events, to facilitate effective planning.

The meeting marked the first of many engagements planned between President Kurt Okraku and Director-General Dodzie Numekevor.

Accompanying President Okraku were notable figures from the GFA, including General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo, Esq, Chief of Staff Michael Osekre, Head of Public Relations and Strategy Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, and Director of Competitions Julius Emunah.
