The Head of Communications at the Ghana Football Association(GFA) Henry Asante Twum says that the GFA has not abandoned the match fixing allegations involving Ashantigold SC and Inter Allies in the 2020/2021 season as suggested by the head of the Criminal Investigations Department Commissioner of Police Mr Isaac Ken Yeboah.

He says the GFA has finished conducting their own extensive internal investigations into the matter and they are almost done.

“Whatever the GFA needs to gather on this match fixing allegations has been done. It’s been an exhaustive investigation and as at now, we are almost done with our own internal investigations”

GFA Spokesperson Henry Asante on Angel FM responding to CID boss’ remarks on the Ashgold vs Inter Allies match fixing allegations; "It’s not true that we didn’t go back to the police again and with this, I’m speaking based on evidence. There are two publications on our visits"

Inter Allies were hosted by the miners in the last Premier League game in the 2020/2021 season at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium where AshGold inflicted a heavy 7-0 defeat on the already relegated Tampico boys at the time.

After the game a video surfaced on social media showing the tame and disgraceful manner Inter Allies kowtowed to AshGold including two comical own goals form Inter Allies center back Hashmin Musah.

Young striker Isaac Opoku Agyemang run the charitable Inter Allies defense ragged as he grabbed a hattrick on the day while it was a day of ignominy for Inter Allies defender Hashmin Musah who scored twice but it was in his own net .

AshGold captain Amos Addai also scoring twice for the miners to make it 7-0 .

The GFA at the time issued a strongly worded statement on the incident but it appears they have gone back to sleep on the matter.
