The Executive Council (ExCo) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to meet on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, to deliberate on crucial football issues that impact the future of the sport in Ghana.
At the top of the agenda will be the performance of the Black Stars, as the ExCo seeks to review the team’s progress and discuss strategies for improvement.
Another key topic will be the upcoming GFA Retreat, which is expected to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions about advancing football development in the country.
The ExCo will also receive updates on the domestic football scene, including developments in the Ghana Premier League, the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, the Access Bank Division One League, the MTN FA Cup, and the Women’s FA Cup.
Additionally, the meeting will address the status of various national teams, including the Black Queens, Black Galaxies, Black Satellites, Black Princesses, Black Starlets, and Black Maidens. Updates will also be provided on the U15 Boys and Girls Schools program.
The Regional Football Associations (RFAs) will feature prominently, with reports on the activities of the ten RFAs, as well as updates on the 2nd Division, 3rd Division, Colts, and Regional Women’s Division One Leagues.
The ExCo will also hear progress reports on youth competitions, such as the KGL U17 Colts Championship and TDS Elite U15 Boys and Girls Colts Championships.
Furthermore, the ExCo will be briefed on ongoing infrastructure projects, including the development of the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampram.
The upcoming meeting promises to be an important session, with ExCo members expected to make pivotal decisions that will shape the direction of football in Ghana.
