Rashid Sumaila has vowed to help Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade achieved their goals next season after successfully completing a transfer to the club. 

The 25-year-old centre-back put pen to paper on  a season-long loan deal on Thursday after having his medicals in a private hospital in Belgrade.

Sumaila expressed his joy to reporters after completing the deal and promised to give his all for the club.

“I am very happy to come to Red Star. I am here to help the team to achieve their goals, as well as the goals that the club wants.

“Red Star is a good club that will help me to make the toy progress. I know that the club has a great history, won the Champions League, and I know about last year’s good performance in the Europa League.

“By nature, I am a winner, I do not like to lose, and therefore I want to see the best results for Zvezda,”
