It's a dawn of a new era in Ghana football with a lot expected from the Kurt Okraku led GFA with massive transformation set to be seen as the new season approaches.
The #GameChanger promised to revolutionize our game when given the nod and the early signs are very promising for any aficionado of the local game.
Media Rights have been advertised by the GFA for interested institutions to bid for the rights to show our various league games on TV.
For the first time ever this administration is also selling out radio media rights unlike the usual Tv rights that is sold alone.
But the novel idea that is being introduced is that the various TV rights are staggered into packages, that is the FA have them in categories for the various bidders.
They have the first package that is any media outlet that gets this package will have exclusive rights to all matches and the big ones as such.
With the category two getting some selected matches to show to their viewers while there is also highlights rights where a particular media house is given the exclusive rights to only show highlights of all the matches.
In his first few months he has appointed countless committees that will aid his work as he begins to change the face of our game in Ghana.
For so long a time our local game has been treated with disdain and contempt albeit the appeal and the allure the foreign leagues bring to various patrons.
We struggle to compete for audience and patronage and is partly because for far too long professionalism in the game has only been a mere rhetoric without any action.
But under the #GameChanger it appears that will be a thing of the past as numerous ground breaking ideas are being rolled out.
