Former Ghana goalkeeper Joe Carr believes that the Black Stars are on the right track in preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Last month the Black Stars played two friendly matches against Brazil where they lost 3-0 before beating lowly-placed Nicaragua.

According to the 1978 AFCON winner with Ghana, the team is ripe for any opposition they face at the World Cup and will not be intimidated.

He says that the team has gained the experience to face top-tier sides with the friendly game against Brazil last month.

“So far, we are on course so far as our preparations are concerned and I strongly believe that in case we meet Brazil again, or meet any top-ranked team, they cannot run over us as happened last month” he told Graphic Sports in an interview.

“I am certain that the coach has corrected all the mistakes he identified in the two friendly matches and is, therefore, poised to come out with a more creative, combative and competitive team against our opponents at the group stage.”

Ghana is in the same group as Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea and will begin the tournament against Cristiano Ronaldo's side on November 24.
