Ghanaian midfielder Edmund Addo has reaffirmed his commitment to elevate his performance and make significant contributions whenever he represents the Black Stars on the field.

Addo recently featured for the Ghana squad in their matches against Nigeria and Uganda during the March international break.

Despite being deployed in an unfamiliar position as a centre-back, he believes he performed well in both games.

"The coaches prepared me physically and mentally to adapt to the new role. This boosted my confidence, and I believe I had a good performance in both matches, but there's always room for improvement," Addo commented on his performance.

Looking ahead, the Black Stars' next fixture is scheduled for June, where they will compete against Mali and the Central African Republic in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Addo remains optimistic about his chances of securing a place in the team for the upcoming matches but acknowledges that squad selection ultimately rests with the coaching staff.

"I'm confident in my abilities to earn a spot in the team, but it's the coaching staff who decides the squad selection for each game.

All I can do is continue to work hard at the club level and strive to convince the coach that I deserve a place in the squad," he stated, expressing his determination to earn his spot on the team through hard work and dedication.
