The Ghana Minigolf Federation (GMF) successfully teed off their 2019 edition league on Sunday, November 17, at the Caesars Court Minigolf pitch at Ridge in Accra.

The competition dubbed ‘Caesars Court 2019 Minigolf Club League’, made up of 6 Clubs with 3 teams each, required to play 6 matches a match day (each team playing two matches) saw defending Champions, Forbes Club lead the table after week 1 with 14 points.

Forbes, who won the 2017 edition as well, with 4 wins out of the 6 matches played, top with a total score of 505, and 27 Holes in 1.

Golden Putterz came 2nd with 521 total score, and 13 points, also with 27 Holes in 1. Nutterz Putterz followed up closely in 3rd position with same 13 points, having scored a total of 514.

Kama Minigolf Club and Black Putterz for finished on the 4th & 5th spot with 12 & 10 points, while Power Minigolf Club complete the table at the bottom with 9 points.

For Best Stroke Play, Ruben Minko of Kama Minigolf Club, scored lowest with 75 points for his Two Games whilst Nutterz Putterz club duo Enock Nyarko & Hicham Chihadeh logged best combined score of 159 points, trailed closely with 162 points by Forbes duo Bright Frimpong & Philip Selassie.

Emelda Bempong of Black Putterz putted 7 holes in 1, in her first game, setting off a GMF National & African record.

The 5-weeks League, sponsored by Caesars Court Restaurant, is expected to have a total of 100 matches by December 15, where the champion Club will be crowned along with individual players who have competed with excellence.

The 2019 Caesars Court Clubs League comes off at heels of Team Ghana’s participation at the recently ended 2019 World Minigolf Championships in China, where Africa’s Best Minigolfer, Enock Nyarko found himself on the 101st position from a total of 230 players from 26 countries.

The GMF Clubs League Matchday 2 continues this Sunday, November 24, at the Caesars Court Ridge Minigolf course with competitive fixtures that will Tee off at 3pm.
