Ghana pocketed US$700,000  for participating and placing third in the Kirin Cup  Soccer tournament in Japan

The Black  Stars placed third and earned $50,000 for their efforts after beating Chile 3-1 on penalties on Tuesday whiles the GFA were handed an appearance fee of $650,000 making it a sum total of $700,000.

Ghana made an appearance in the International friendly tournament after last making an appearance six year's ago.

The Black Stars lost their semi final game in the opening game against Japan by a whooping 4-1 score line last Friday at the Noevir Stadium in Kobe.

In the final game, African counterparts Tunisia handed host nation Japan a 3-0 beating on Tuesday at the Panasonic Stadium Suita in Osaka.

Tunisia for their troubles pocketed $250,000 for winning the trophy at the Kirin Cup.

The tournament was to help Ghana and other two nations Japan and Tunisia who will be playing at the Qatar 2022 World Cup prepare.
