Bechem United secure experienced defender Emmanuel Ampiah ahead of new season

Bechem United have completed the signing of experienced left-back Emmanuel Ampiah as they continue to strengthen their squad for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The former Enyimba FC and Rivers United defender has penned a two-year deal with the Hunters in the current transfer window.

Ampiah, who brings a wealth of experience, grit, and leadership, is expected to provide stability to Bechem United’s youthful side as they aim to make a strong impact in the upcoming campaign.

The former Elmina Sharks defender was part of the Black Glaxies team that won the WAFU title under coach Maxwell Konadu in 2017.

The club announced the deal with excitement:

The 33-year-old becomes Bechem United’s sixth signing of the window, following the arrivals of Abdul Basit Mohammed, Frank Promise, Dennis Votere, Aminu Mohammed, and Frank Amankwah.

Under the leadership of newly appointed coach Stephen Desmond Issah Botchway, Bechem United are deep in pre-season preparations as they set their sights on challenging strongly in the league.

The Hunters will kick off their campaign against reigning champions Bibiani GoldStars.
