Hearts of Oak goalkeeper who has made a huge statement for himself in the senior national team, the Black Stars, Benjamin Asare, is brimming with immense confidence ahead of the final showdown of the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season’s fixture on Sunday, June 8 against Samartex.
The Phobians will be hosting the reigning champions of the GPL at the Accra Sports Stadium to play it all out in the week 34 and final season encounter with Asare looking to seal a win to keep their top finish intact.
Asare, who was on international duty with the Black Stars at the 2025 Unity Cup in London, having played full throttle in Ghana’s first game against Nigeria in the “Jollof Derby” has called on all the fans to help cap a fine campaign in the end.
"To every Hearts of Oak fan, thank you for standing with us through every high and low this season. As we head into our final game against Samartex, we are not just playing for points, we are playing for pride, for the badge, and for you. Let's finish strong, together. See you on Sunday. Let's make it count," he said.
“The Continental Club Masters,” Accra Hearts of Oak are 5th on the league log with 55 points, two behind Heart of Lions after 33 games played.
