Levante forward  Emmanuel Boateng could be out of action for up to a month after suffering an injury duriring his side’s 1-1 stalemate with Girona in La Liga on Saturday.

The Ghanaian international was forced off in the 64th minute after a collision with an opponent.

According to a club statement, the 21 year old suffered a fracture of the left Zygomatic arch and has undergone a successful surgery to correct the damage.

“Boateng underwent surgery this morning at the Quirón Clinic in Valencia for the fracture of the left zygomatic arch that occurred yesterday in a match between the Santander LaLiga and Girona and Levante at the Montilivi Stadium,”

“The operation, carried out by the team of Dr. Fernando Gómez, has been successfully completed.”

Boateng has scored twice in 20 La Liga appearances for Levante this season.
