Ghanaian striker, Kevin-Prince Boateng has stated that he chose Las Palmas over other clubs because he had a call from their President and he also wanted La Liga experience.
The former Schalke 04 striker in his return to AC Milan couldn’t break into the team and made a shocking move to Las Palmas this summer to relaunch his career.
Kevin-Prince Boateng had a good start to his La Liga career, scoring in his debut for the club in their 4-1 thrashing of Valencia.
“Why not? I had two or three opportunities as well,” Boateng told El Larguero.
“[I chose Las Palmas because] first, I had never played in Spain and secondly, the president called me and asked for me to be here.
“Besides, this is a very nice place. For me, it was the right choice.”
The 29-year-old was part of the Black Stars team that played in the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups.
