Ghana's Black Galaxies have been drawn to face arch-rivals Nigeria in the first round of the 2024 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, following the draw held at CAF headquarters in Cairo.
This exciting clash between the two West African nations will mark the beginning of Ghana's campaign in the tournament, which is dedicated to players competing in their domestic leagues.
The first leg of the highly anticipated matchup is set to take place at home for Ghana between December 20-22, 2024, with the return leg scheduled in Nigeria for December 27-29, 2024.
The 2024 CHAN tournament, hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, is scheduled to run from February 1 to February 28, 2025.
A total of 40 teams will compete in the qualifiers, with two rounds determining the final participants for the eighth edition of the tournament.
The opening round of qualifiers is set for the weekends of October 25-27 and November 1-3, 2024, with the second round following in December.
Both Ghana and Nigeria will be eager to secure a spot in this prestigious competition, showcasing the best of their local talents.
