Ghana is set to benefit from a  United Nations peacekeeping course for African Partners.

Ghana is known for its participation in United Nations peacekeeping missions across the world and in its recognizable efforts, it has been invited to benefit from the United Nations special peacekeeping course.

The course which is scheduled to commence on July 25, and convene 38 of the most skilled military officers from countries across Africa for classes organized by India's Center for United Nation's (UN) core peacekeeping predeployment training modules to the African Union.

The course is expected to include a train the trainer effort where experienced personnel will share insights and best practices with the less experienced participants to help them become more effective peacekeeping trainers.

This initiative is joint collaborative effort by the United States and India to help strengthen the capabilities of other partner nations to contribute to international peacekeeping.

Other African countries expected to participate include Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Nigeria and Rwanda.
