Ghanaian attacker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored his first-ever brace for his Swiss side on Saturday evening as he emerged as the hero for FC Zurich, with two impeccable goals against formidable opponents, Lugano.

The head-to-head record between the teams before the game stood at FC Zurich 12 wins, Lugano 12 wins, and eight draws, setting the stage for an intense battle at the Stadion Letzigrund.

Barnieh was instrumental from the start, featuring in the lineup and impressively lasting 85 minutes on the field.

With a resounding 3-0 victory in favor of the home side, FC Zurich now finds themselves at the top of the league table.
