Ghanaian forward Doris Boaduwaa has made a significant move to Israeli club Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem, signing a two-year contract after departing Serbian side Spartak Subotica.

Boaduwaa, a 21-year-old attacking winger and a prominent member of the Ghana national team, began her career at Hasaacas Ladies before her stint in Serbia, where she made an impact by scoring three goals in the Champions League qualifiers and contributing to Spartak Subotica's league campaign.

Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem proudly announced the acquisition of Boaduwaa, highlighting her achievements and the anticipation of her contributions:

"Boaduwaa will join us for the start of training for the 2024-25 season, bringing strength and tactical wisdom with her suitcase. She scored 3 goals in the Champions League qualifiers last season and added 3 more goals in recent national team matches."

Expressing her excitement about the move, Boaduwaa said, "I am very excited to join Hapoel and start a new chapter in my career, aiming to win the championship. I look forward to meeting everyone on the pitch!"

The professional manager of Hapoel Katamon's women's team, Lior Hoja, emphasized the club's satisfaction with signing Boaduwaa, citing her potential and the scouting efforts invested in her:

"Our scouting department has been tracking Doris for the past two years, and we are delighted that a player of her caliber will be playing for us.

She brings exceptional potential compared to our local standards, and now it's up to her and us to work hard and prove ourselves on the field."

Boaduwaa's achievements include a nomination for the CAF Inter Club and Young Player of the Year award.

She also represented Ghana in the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup, scoring Ghana's sole goal at the tournament held in Costa Rica.
