Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah endured a challenging day on Thursday as his team, Al-Tai FC, suffered a 3-0 defeat to Damac FC in the Saudi Pro League round 18 match.

The former Black Stars player faced further disappointment as he received a red card in stoppage time, compounding his team's woes.

Mensah's sending off occurred in the 92nd minute for a dangerous foul, resulting in his second yellow card of the match.

The first yellow card had been issued in the 74th minute.

Despite Mensah's impressive performances since joining Al-Tai FC as a free agent in the summer, this match proved to be a difficult outing.

The game saw Damac FC take the lead in the 57th minute with a goal from Farouk Chafai.

The Algerian international then scored his second goal 15 minutes later, doubling the lead for Damac FC.

Bernard Mensah's red card in the closing moments added to the team's challenges, and Nicholae Stanciu sealed the victory with the third goal, concluding the match at 3-0.

Mensah, who had been named the best player of October in the Saudi Pro League, will now face suspension due to the red card, adding a setback to his recent stellar performances.
