Dutch born Ghanaian player Darren Coffie has signed for Brazilian club Esportivo Passense for the coming season.

The player has signed with the little known Brazilian club that was founded in 2001 and plays in a 12,000 seater capacity stadium.

Darren has for the last two years been playing for Morton College in the United States of America but will now be playing in the Regional leagues in Brazil known as Campeonato Mineiro Second Level.

The player has been on the rough side of injuries the last couple of years after sustaining a knee injury which kept him out of action for about a year.

After going through rehabilitation and healing he has been training with lower tier Dutch side De Valk.

During his rehabilitationn he worked with former Black Stars defender Eric Addo at the u-21 side of FC Eindhoven.

He now has a chance to get going again on the football field after his injury woes.
