Ghanaian striker Abednego Tetteh is on the brink of securing a transfer to an undisclosed Albanian club, reports from local media suggest.
The 32-year-old, formerly of Bechem United, has expressed his eagerness to play abroad, spurred by recent omissions from the national team.
According to Accra-based Max FM, Tetteh has declined an offer to continue playing in the Ghana Premier League with his former team, Bibiani Gold Stars FC.
When asked about the reported move to Albania, Tetteh reaffirmed his commitment to professional football, even expressing a willingness to play in Togo if the opportunity arises.
Tetteh claimed the Golden Boot as the top scorer in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season with 18 goals.
However, he has voiced his dissatisfaction with the award, feeling that it did not adequately recognize his remarkable achievement over the year.
Tetteh has prior experience playing abroad, having featured for Sudanese club Al-Hilal Obeid, as well as Indian sides Real Kashmir FC and TRAU FC.
His impending move to Albania marks a potential new chapter in his career as he seeks fresh challenges and opportunities in the football world.
