Ernest Nuamah, the promising Ghanaian winger, had a momentous occasion in his football career as he made his first-ever appearance for Olympique Lyon in the French Ligue 1.

This milestone occurred during Lyon's clash against Paris Saint-Germain on a Sunday evening.

Nuamah's journey to Lyon came through a season-long loan deal from the Belgian Jupiler League side, RWD Molenbeek, following his sensational move from FC Nordsjaelland in the recently concluded summer transfer window.

At just 19 years old, Nuamah was handed a starting position in Lyon's lineup for the match, which unfortunately ended in a disappointing 4-1 home defeat to Paris Saint-Germain at the Groupama Stadium.

The match saw a first-half brace from the prolific Kylian Mbappe, along with goals from Achraf Hakimi and Marco Asensio, securing a convincing victory for PSG.

The lone consolation goal for Olympique Lyon came courtesy of French international Corentin Tolisso, who converted a penalty kick awarded to them in the 74th minute.

Ernest Nuamah gave his all during the game and remained on the pitch for 79 minutes before being replaced by Jeffinho.

Nuamah's performance for Olympique Lyon is a testament to his potential and the faith placed in him by the club.

He has been included in Ghana's 25-man squad for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, where they will face Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on September 7.

This represents an exciting opportunity for Nuamah to continue making strides on both the club and international fronts.
