Some Ghanaians have taken to social media to express their disappointment at a 10% salary increase for government workers.

According to a statement signed by the ministry of finance, there will be a 10% pay rise across board for public workers under the Single Spine Salary Structure.

This is scheduled to begin in January 2019, but some Ghanaians have already taken to social media to express their displeasure at the news:

One social media user was of the view that the increase is insignificant.

Another added that the politician's are only acting smart.

Yet another was convinced that at the end, the worker will remain poor.

Adongo argued that there have been higher increments in the past.

And Aboagye added that voters' IDs are warming up for the 2020 elections.
